Celebrating Newtown's unique music, culture and community by joining the areas venue into one long music crawl.

Proudly homegrown event 🦘 The King Street Carnival (KSC) is the natural evolution of The Crawl and will see it grow from the one day ‘Crawl’ format to a 3 day underground music and arts city festival. The Carnival will expand into the parks that surround Newtown, taking over parts of Sydney Park and Camperdown Memorial Rest park to create outdoor concert style stag

es showcasing some of Australia’s most well-loved and up-and-coming artists. Further to this the event will bring into play the multitude of venues, small bars and pubs dotted along King street and surrounds and shine a spotlight on the area’s incredible food and beverage scene. Building on the success of King Street Crawl and highlighting the rich and multicultural tapestry that the Inner West has to offer, King Street Carnival opens up opportunities for the local creative communities and emerging artists to be discovered by festival goers and music lovers alike. The King Street Carnival is the brain child of The Music and Booze Co.

They were supposed to play our outdoor main stage, but due to some torrential wet weather, they end up doing a bit more of intimate set . As you can see in the last photo not everyone got in that day!

Oversized load alert 🚨 the KSC truck is here to dump 116 free entry acts off for you!

Bands, artists, and DJs. Big and small, new faces and old friends, and from nearly every genre we could fit are included. They will play the 40+ free entry stages across Newtown, Enmore, Marrickville & Erskineville, and you can snake your way around on Sunday 12th July for the enhanced Olympics of music discovery!

These acts will join the already announced acts, including - , who will be heading up our Enmore Theatre main stage. This one will be ticketed, and all ages + your ticket here will give you priority access to a heap of the free entry venues on the day. It’s your KSC turbo ticket and is going for $50 + Booking fees - Get on it!

We’ve still got 100+ more acts to announce, as well as the return of our Eliza Street Party, dedicated all ages stages and other special surprises 👹 Get your Free RSVP now to stay up to date with all this info!

Crazy town 🦋 to think we are only 2 months away from King Street Crawl 2026!  We are so ready to be back, bouncing between pits and seeing some of the country’s best and brightest in small rooms before they break 😁

I just want to say that for the record 🎶 We love us some
