πŸΈπŸ“° THE FROG HOLLOW WEEKLY NEWSLETTER πŸ“°πŸΈ

β˜€οΈ Saturday 12th September 2026 | Event #573 🐸

What a cracking morning at Frog Hollow! πŸŒžπŸ’™ Blue skies, bright sunshine and 146 people turning up voluntarily to run around for absolutely no reason other than they apparently enjoy it! πŸ˜‚πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
There were no excuses about the weather today… although we're sure a few people still managed to invent some!

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ THE SATURDAY MORNING SCOOP!
This week's attendance sheet tells the story:
πŸ‘₯ 146 people ran, jogged and walked
πŸ‘‹ 20 first timers joined the Frog Hollow family
πŸ† 11 people smashed out a new PB
πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ 7 different clubs were represented

Twenty first timers bravely arrived at Frog Hollow not knowing quite what they had signed themselves up for. πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚
They now know.
There is running.
There is walking.
There is chatting.
There is sweating.
There is cake. 🍰
And occasionally there is someone questioning their life choices somewhere around the halfway mark! 🀣

πŸ’› THE BIGGEST NEWS OF THE DAY!
Today's event was made possible by 13 absolute CHAMPIONS! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

🌟 Sally MANSON
🌟 Ross TENNANT
🌟 Brenda WYHOON
🌟 Frank ALLEN
🌟 Sandra BROADBENT
🌟 Sreenivasa Rao MEDISETTI
🌟 Cathy MURPHY
🌟 Rosemary ROBINSON
🌟 Darren BEDFORD
🌟 Cameron COX
🌟 Kate BAKER
🌟 Odette CAINS
🌟 Oliver TEW

Without our volunteers, we'd basically have 146 people standing around staring at each other wondering who is supposed to start the stopwatch! πŸ˜‚β±οΈ
So let's hear it for the hi-vis heroes! πŸ’›πŸ‘πŸΈ

Since Frog Hollow first opened its gates on 14th June 2014, we've now seen:
πŸ‘₯ 8,112 participants
πŸƒ 52,387 parkruns completed
🌏 261,935 km travelled
πŸ† 6,957 PBs
πŸ™Œ 755 wonderful volunteers
⏱️ 5,396 volunteer occasions

That's a lot of kilometres, a lot of PBs and an absolutely ridiculous amount of Saturday morning alarm clocks! πŸ˜‚β°

🐸 AND FINALLY…
Another brilliant Saturday morning has been completed, with everyone safely returned to the finish area and most people still able to walk afterwards. 😜

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was fantastic and Frog Hollow once again proved that Saturday mornings are much better when you're surrounded by a bunch of slightly crazy people in running shoes! 🌞🐸❀️

So congratulations to our PB legends, welcome to all our first timers, and a massive THANK YOU to our 13 CHAMPIONS.

Now go forth and enjoy your weekend…
You've earned the right to eat cake! πŸ°πŸ˜‚
πŸΈπŸ’š See you next Saturday at Frog Hollow parkrun! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

πŸ“… Saturday, 5th September 2026

With spring officially underway 🌸🌞, there was plenty of action on the course, although someone clearly forgot to tell the weather department that it was supposed to be getting warmer! πŸ˜‚πŸ₯Ά

A whopping 78 runners, joggers and walkers rolled into Frog Hollow for Event #572! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸΈ

πŸ‘‹ 17 first timers joined the fun β€” welcome aboard, legends! πŸ‘

⚑ 5 PBs were smashed! πŸ†πŸ’¨
Clearly, someone had put a couple of extra Weet-Bix in the bowl! πŸ˜‚πŸ₯£

πŸ‘• 10 clubs were represented, bringing enough lycra to make the 1980s fashion police nervous! πŸ˜‚πŸ•Ί

πŸ¦Έβ€β™€οΈ OUR SATURDAY CHAMPIONS πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈ
A massive Aussie THANK YOU to our 9 volunteers:

πŸ‘ Alan BENNIE
πŸ‘ Peter DOUGLAS
πŸ‘ Alister VAGANIANCE
πŸ‘ Helen ANDERSON
πŸ‘ Leigh CURRAN
πŸ‘ Lucinda JONES
πŸ‘ Margaret HAY
πŸ‘ Glenn MOLONEY

Absolute legends! Without volunteers, we'd just have 78 people standing around asking, β€œSo… who’s got the stopwatch?” β±οΈπŸ˜‚

Since starting in 2014:
πŸƒ 8,092 participants
πŸ… 52,241 parkruns
🌏 261,205 km covered
⚑ 6,946 PBs
πŸ™Œ 754 volunteers
πŸ‘ 5,382 volunteer occasions

That's a LOT of kilometres! 😲
In fact, that's enough distance to make even the old Holden Commodore ask for a service! πŸš—πŸ˜‚
