O-SEE CANICROSS | XTERRA O-SEE ULTRA TRAIL | KURORT OYBIN

Two legs. Four paws. One team.

The weekend in Oybin ended with the O-SEE Canicross. Runners and their dogs took on the 3K and 6K courses through the foggy autumn forests of the Zittau Mountains, side by side from the start line to the finish.

Wagging tails, happy faces and a well-deserved drink at the finish line.

KIDS RACES | XTERRA O-SEE ULTRA TRAIL | KURORT OYBIN

The next generation of trail runners took over Oybin.

Nerves at the start line, battles on the trail and big smiles at the finish. Juniors over 4K, Youngsters over 1.3K and Minis over 500 meters gave everything from the very first meter.

HIGHLIGHTS | XTERRA EUROPEAN TRAIL RUN CHAMPIONSHIP | KURORT OYBIN

Castle ruins, sandstone towers and autumn forests. This was race day in the Zittau Mountains.

From the 100K start in the dark at 4:00 am to the last finishers under the night sky, Oybin hosted the XTERRA European Trail Run Championship as part of the O-SEE Ultra Trail.

European champions, hundreds of finishers and one unforgettable day on the trails.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS | XTERRA O-SEE 25K | KURORT OYBIN

Lada Štalzerová and Patrik Juhász are the XTERRA European Trail Run Champions over the half marathon distance.

Lada won the women’s race in 2:20:25, ahead of her Czech Skyrunning Team teammate Alexandra Frankova.

Patrik took the men’s title in 1:56:12, the only runner under two hours on the 25K course.

25.1 kilometers and 1,053 meters of elevation gain, and one European title each. We asked them how it feels.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS | XTERRA O-SEE 50K | KURORT OYBIN

Antonia Horn and Tomas Hudec are the XTERRA European Trail Run Champions over the marathon distance.

Antonia won the women’s race in 4:56:03 after a battle to the very end. Elizabeth Ungermanová crossed the line just 17 seconds later.

Tomas took the men’s title in 4:17:59, more than 13 minutes ahead of Robert Heczko.

50.5 kilometers and 2,022 meters of elevation gain through the Zittau Mountains. We asked them how it feels to be European Champion.

Age group runners, DUO teams, first-timers and returning faces, all crossing the same finish line in Oybin after hours in the Zittau Mountains.

04:00 | O-SEE 100K | KURORT OYBIN

While most of the world was still asleep, the 100K runners left the Event Village in Oybin with headlamps on.

100.2 kilometers and 3,451 meters of elevation gain through the Zittau Mountains and across the border into the Czech Republic. The time limit is 20 hours.

The longest day of the XTERRA O-SEE Ultra Trail has begun.

ATHLETE: CHRISTINA HERBST | EURO TRAIL RUN CHAMPS | GERMANY

Normally found on the XTERRA cross triathlon circuit, Christina Herbst traded the swim and the bike for a day on foot in the Zittau Mountains. Based in Austria and a coach by profession, she arrived in Oybin with a simple plan: finish in one piece, and if the legs allow, take the win in her class.

The course will be tough. But as she puts it, it’s in nature, and it’s everything we love.
