So D-day has finally arrived for 🎶 SHAKE 🎶 in the beautiful coastal town of Denmark WA here in the .
Last but not least Deep South Soul would like to introduce our resident up & coming DJ Brother G. A late bloomer on the DJ circuit but a regular on the dancefloors of the soul scene.
He started his passion for vinyl in his youth after listening to his older brothers records and being influenced by the likes of 2-Tone records, Paul Weller of The Jam, & The Clash.
A collector of different genres with a passion for 6T's R&B, Mod, Soul & anything that falls between.
In the box for 🎶 SHAKE 🎶 amongst others is Minnie Epperson, Ray Charles & Little Milton.

Well the weekend is here which means our first visit to Denmark WA for "SHAKE" is almost upon us.
The crew at Deep South Soul would like to introduce to you our second female & regular DJ at "SHAKE", "Telegram Sam" who is an up an coming DJ in Perth and Albany. She had an early love for the Beatles which turned into a love for 60s music and aesthetics. In her record collection is an eclectic mix of mod, soul, Motown and beat music. In the bag for Shake! Is Jacques Dutronc and the Rolling Stones."

Less than a week to go for "SHAKE" & the team here at Deep South Soul would like to introduce to you one of our resident DJ's.
Dave Blaine would-be singer with an off-key voice, a want to be dancer with two left feet, Dave is an eclectic collector of the sounds from the 1950s & 60’s. With a taste for the early 60s R&B popular over in the clubs of Europe. Dave has put together a selection of wild, raucous, sometimes soulful, yet always completely danceable trip through the 6T's. Some featured tunes for the night will include;

Deep South Soul Present SHAKE! At the Arthouse – a 1960’s dance party played on all original vinyl 45s. Get on your 1960s gear, throw on your best dancing shoes and Shake! A tail feather at the Arthouse next Sunday 9th of April from 4pm til’ 10pm (Easter Sunday).

Resident Shake! DJs Brother G, Telegram Sam and Dave Blaine spinning all vinyl 60s classics, from swinging soul, garage, R&B to Boogaloo, Mod and Ska.
Guest DJs – Screaming J and Miss Behavin’.

With less than 2 weeks to go for "SHAKE" the team here at Deep South Soul are super excited to introduce to you the first of our two female DJ's on the bill for Denmark W.A.
DJ Miss Behavin has been buying records since she was the tender age of 12. She inherited her Mum's collection of 45's many years ago & has continued collecting ever since. Miss Behavin has a love & passion for sixties music including soul, ska, psych, surf, beat, jazz you name it she probably loves it!!
Two of her favourite artists that no doubt will be in her box for "SHAKE" are Lou Rawls & Jackie Wilson.
A welcome addition to our ever expanding list of sixties DJ's!!

OK so less than 4 weeks to go before our inaugural 60s soul event "SHAKE" Sunday 9th April 4-10pm in the beautiful coastal town of Denmark south West WA.
The team here at Deep South Soul would like to introduce to you the first of our 5 very talented DJs who will be spinning their specially selected vinyl for your listening pleasure & dancing feet.

First out the blocks is the stylish Screaming J aka John Pentland whose love of 60s music & pop culture has always been a part of his life. His an avid collector of 50s/60s vinyl & loves DJing with those records.
John says it's an amazing feeling DJing to a room full of people who dig the music your playing & for a short time can escape the daily grind & just have fun!
It is an absolute pleasure to be invited to play at "SHAKE" & will try my very best to get your feet tapping & moving onto the dance floor & introduce you to some songs you may not of heard before, that will keep you dancing.
