The next Darwin Italian Festival has not yet been announced. The success of each Darwin Italian Festival has continued to grow since the inaugural festival of 2013, culminating with the national MEA Award of "best public event of the year" in Australia in 2015. The Festival originated from the ideas of a group of dedicated volunteers from the Italian Community who wanted to recognise and promote t

heir culture, heritage and traditions. Without these passionate volunteers, who devote their own personal time and passion to this Festival, we would not be able to create such a high-calibre festival for the community to experience. To continue building on its two previous festivals, there will be an emphasis on celebrating all that is Italian within the community. The exhilarating mixture of food, drinks, art, culture and entertainment for all ages will create an authentic Italian feel. IFA gathers local businesses, school groups, entertainers, and the community to create the true essence of Italy, right here in Darwin. This event provides an opportunity for Italian businesses from across the Northern Territory to showcase their products and services to the Darwin population, with a vested interest of promoting our Italian community.

🎉 That’s Amore, Darwin! 🇮🇹✨

What a bellissimo weekend! The Darwin Italian Festival kissed goodbye to 17,000 fabulous guests this Saturday (May 10), and wow—che festa! 😍

The Waterfront came alive with coffee, pizza-tossing, live music, dancing, and enough pasta to make Nonna proud.

Guests lingered well past closing, serenaded by seaside sunsets, laughter, and the sweet scent of Italy in the air.

This year’s highlights? The brand-new Mercato packed with Italian goodies, three stunning Ferraris along the coast, Darwin-made models of iconic Italian landmarks (Trevi Fountain, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Rialto Bridge!), and a feast of authentic treats like zeppole, arancini, cannoli, tiramisu, meatballs and wood-fired pizza.
