What a night… and what an incredible way to finish our inaugural Dalveen Hall German Christmas in July. ❤️🇩🇪🎄

We are still blown away by the support from everyone who travelled to our little hall. As a small, volunteer-run, not-for-profit community organisation, we never imagined the response we received. The hall was buzzing, the Christmas market was full of life, and people came from near and far to experience a little taste of a German Christmas in the Granite Belt.

To be honest… we got absolutely smashed! We completely sold out of food far earlier than expected. While we’re so sorry to those who missed out, it was the most wonderful problem to have, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Seeing families enjoying the magnificent Clydesdale carriage rides, friends gathered around the braziers with mulled w**e, and everyone laughing together around the Long Table Feast is exactly what we had dreamed of.

A huge thank you to Peter, Luke and the Fairbank family, who once again outdid themselves with an incredible feast, all prepared by volunteers using wonderful local produce. Your generosity and hard work helped make the evening so special.

To every volunteer who decorated, cooked, served, cleaned, parked cars, sold tickets and simply pitched in wherever needed—this event only happened because of you.

And the weather… we couldn’t have asked for a more magical winter’s evening.

What started as a simple idea to bring a little European Christmas market magic to our tiny Dalveen Hall became something far bigger than we ever imagined. It showed what a passionate community can achieve when people come together.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our little hall and supporting our community.

Tomorrow, you'll have the chance to meet four magnificent gentle giants from Duneske Clydesdales - Desi, Star, Ruby & Lenny.
These beautiful horses will be giving our traditional horse and carriage rides throughout the evening, bringing a touch of old-world Christmas magic to our German Christmas in July.
Even if you don't take a ride, come and say hello, pat these gentle giants, and admire these incredible Clydesdales up close. They really are something special!

What exactly is Glühwein?

Today we visited the wonderful Therese at Heritage Estate Wines, where our traditional German-style mulled w**e is being lovingly prepared for Dalveen Hall’s German Christmas in July.

If you’ve never tried Glühwein before, you’re in for a treat! 🇩🇪

Glühwein is a traditional warm mulled w**e enjoyed throughout Germany’s famous Christmas markets during winter. It’s gently heated with fragrant spices such as cinnamon, cloves, star anise and citrus, creating a beautifully warming drink that’s become a Christmas market favourite for centuries.

In our video, Therese shares what makes Glühwein so special and why it’s such an important part of the German Christmas market experience.

We’re so excited to be partnering with Heritage Estate Wines to bring this authentic tradition to the Granite Belt.
