⚽️ OFFICIAL RULES: 2026 Summer 6's Football Competition ⚽️

The countdown is on! Our Summer 6's season officially kicks off on Thursday, 15 October 2026.

To ensure a smooth, competitive, and fun season for everyone, all team managers, players, and referees must familiarise themselves with the tournament regulations.

⚽ SUMMER 6’S — GET UNITED! ⚽

All team spots for our Summer 6’s competition are now full! 🎉

But we know things can change, and some teams may find themselves a couple of players short before competition gets underway.

So, we’re helping connect players who are still looking to play with registered teams who may need a few extra players.

If you’re an individual player looking to join a team, or you’re a registered team that could use an extra player or two, send us a message and we’ll do our best to connect you!

⚽ Teams needing players: Let us know how many spots you need to fill.
⚽ Players looking for a team: Let us know your age/competition.

This isn’t about adding more teams — it’s about helping our existing teams fill any gaps and giving players the chance to get on the field.

Registration is Open!

The process is a little different this year so please read this information first!

We are using a new platform (mygamehq) for our competition this year, please follow the instructions to register.

1) Follow the link below to register your team, if you do not yet have a team name, please name your team the coaches name or another unique name and change later.

3) Ask your team to register with Playfootball (link), entering either the team name or your name when asked. This will allow easy linking to your team
4) Player names will show in your Coach section of MyGameHQ once they register in Playfootball. You will be required to accept them

Female Junior Age Exemption

To encourage participation and provide greater flexibility for female junior players, a female player may be granted an age exemption to participate in a mixed junior division one year below her normal age eligibility, subject to the conditions outlined below.

2026 Summer 6s Age Eligibility
• U14 Mixed: Players born in 2012, 2013 or 2014
• U12 Mixed: Players born in 2014 or later, subject to the competition's age eligibility requirements.

Under this exemption:
• A female player born in 2013, who would normally be eligible for U14 Mixed, may participate in U12 Mixed.
• A female player born in 2012 is NOT eligible to participate in U12 Mixed under this exemption, as this would place her more than one age year below her normal eligibility.

Maximum Exemptions
Each team may register a maximum of three (3) female players under the age exemption.

Conditions
1. The exemption applies only to female junior players participating in the U12 Mixed or U14 Mixed competitions.
2. The exemption allows an eligible female player to participate in the next lower age division than the division for which she would normally be eligible.
3. The exemption does not allow a player to participate more than one age division below her normal eligibility.
4. Each team is limited to a maximum of three (3) age-exempt female players.
5. All age-exempt players must otherwise meet the competition's registration and eligibility requirements.
6. The competition organiser reserves the right to verify a player's date of birth and determine eligibility where required.

⚽ FOUR COMPS: Under 12s | Under 14s | Womens | Mens

📅 Competition Dates: Every Thursday from Oct 15th – Dec 17th (10 weeks)

⏰ Times: Juniors from 5pm | Seniors from 6pm
⏱️ Games: 2 x 25 minute halves

📍 Location: Ballina Heights Sports Fields, Power Drive, Cumbalum

📋 TEAM REGISTRATIONS OPEN: Sunday 30 August at 10am

💰 Fees:
Juniors: $450 per team*
Seniors: $600 per team*

🚨 Please note the age brackets carefully

Under 12s
Players born 2014–2016 are eligible to play U12.

Under 14s
Players born 2012–2014 are eligible to play U14.

Seniors – Womens & Mens
Players who have turned 14 before 1/10/2026 will be eligible for the senior competition.

There will be no age exemptions for Senior teams.

*Each individual player must register on PlayFootball. Northern NSW Football registration fee is not included in the team fee.

To make this season the best yet, we're looking to build our Summer 6's Committee and we'd love your help.

Whether you can spare a little time or take on a larger role, every helping hand makes a huge difference. There are plenty of ways to get involved and with a great team behind us, no one has to do it all.

Come along to our General Meeting to hear what's involved, share your ideas and see where you can help create a fun, welcoming and relaxed summer football environment for our players and families.
