The Tasmanian Trout Expo is a fun weekend for everyone. Families and groups of friends come from far and wide to relax on the banks of Brumbys Creek at Cressy, enjoying the fishing and the outdoors. There's a real community atmosphere, the hum of chatter and laughter a fun backdrop to a great outdoor past-time, while not being overcrowded. ads of categories too so there are lots of opportunities for everyone. You don't have to be an experienced angler to enjoy the day. There's something for everyone. The main prize is $10,000, and to win it all you have to do is catch a specially tagged wild brown trout. It's not that hard to do...this prize has been won in the past! With special stockings of wild brown and stocked rainbow trout, there is plenty of opportunity to catch a fish. Food & drink vendors are on site, or bring your own picnic. There are exhibitors with fishing gear bargains and environmental displays. The competition runs from 8am - 4pm each day, however gates open for anglers at 7am to register for the competition and to find a good spot and set up. Adults – $10 per day
