A little flashback to our travels around Australia when Leo was just 10 weeks old! 🥹❤️

If you’ve ever been to Mataranka, you’ll know just how magical this place is! Crystal-clear, turquoise thermal spring water, surrounded by lush tropical palms and the most beautiful natural scenery. 🌿

The water sits at around 34°C all year round, making it the perfect place to float, relax and soak up the beauty of the Australian Outback.

It’s honestly hard to believe somewhere this stunning exists in the middle of the NT! 😍

Travelling Australia with a newborn was an adventure in itself, but these are the memories we’ll treasure forever. 🚐❤️

Mataranka is an absolute must-see on any Northern Territory road trip or Big Lap of Australia! 🇦🇺

Send the text. Make the call. Drop in for a cuppa. Ask “Are you okay?” — and really listen to the answer.

Sometimes the people who seem the happiest, strongest or like they’ve got it all together are carrying more than we realise.

Look after each other. Be kind. Check in.

💚 THE WOMAN BEHIND TIDY TURF MATS

Hi, I’m Brooke 👋 — the woman behind Tidy Turf Mats.

Our story actually started with our other business, Tidy Turf Gold Coast, installing synthetic turf around the Gold Coast. (which we also still do)

As a family who has always loved caravanning and camping, we used to throw leftover pieces of synthetic turf from our jobs into the caravan and take them away with us.

Then something funny started happening…

People would see them at our campsite and ask if they could buy them from us! 😂

And that’s where the idea for Tidy Turf Mats began.

Around seven years ago, I started turning those offcuts into actual products for caravanners. Being a caravanner myself, I could see there were things we could make better.

That led me to create our 'original caravan step mats' - including our Velcro mat designed specifically for the pull-out caravan step and our mat for the portable step.

They were products I created from our own experience travelling and camping as a family — solving the same little problems we were experiencing ourselves.

Fast forward seven years and that simple idea has grown into Tidy Turf Mats, with a whole range of products now travelling around Australia with other caravanning families. 🇦🇺

We’re still a small family business, and I'm still very much the woman behind the scenes — designing, creating, packing, answering messages, attending shows and dreaming up what comes next. 😂💚

One of the coolest things is travelling around Australia and spotting one of our mats outside someone's caravan and thinking…

“I actually created that.” 🥹

I've finally sat down and written the full story of how Tidy Turf Mats came to be — from those first turf offcuts to the business we have today.
