Taste Coleambally Food & Farn Festival has been running since 2012, providing the town with a way to showcase its agricultural heritage and future. The Festival kicks off on Friday 28th with the launch of the art exhibition and cocktail party with a kids Roller Disco being run simultaneously. Saturday will start with Farm tours, then a farm themed colour run and Fifty Mile Meal in the Evening. The main Festival date on Sunday 30th October 2022 and will see the coming together of all things Coleambally. There will be food and beverage tasting stalls to promote and create awareness of the diversity of end products we buy off the supermarket shelves ... and of course using irrigation of our precious water resource. The Festival is a family fun day with face painting, balloon fun, jumping castle, general market stalls. A smoked meat competion is a new feature this year, the art hall will be open for viewing and local talent showcased on the main stage including, whip cracking, singing and instrumentals. The challenging SunRice Coly Cook Off will feature locals showing their cooking skills using local ingredients in two divisions adults and Juniors and will be judged by our guest foodie after his cooking demonstration well known Riverina chef Jamie Shepley who owns Mr Lawrence in Wagga Wagga. Coleambally Irrigation is one of the most water efficient delivery systems in Australia and each year one average feeds an amazing 4,500 people. With over 480 farm units in the Coleambally Irrigation Area, we sustainably feed over 2 MILLION people each year!
