We as a committee share your disappointment in the recent cancellation of the 2025 Cohuna Bridge to Bridge.

All donations, sponsorship and event registration will be donated to the Cohuna District Hospital.
All entrants have the option to change their registration to a virtual event (both running and riding events.) This means you can run or ride the distance of your event at your choice of location, in your own time - and still get your finishers medal!

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
STEP 1: You must register and pay your fee as a virtual entrant or in the instance you have already paid registration please email us to organise your transfer from in person to virtual.
You must opt in to receive a finishers medal, and must have an Australian address to receive a finishers medal in the mail. Overseas entrants are welcome, however, we cannot post medals to overseas addresses. No refunds will be given.

STEP 2: Run or ride your chosen distance between March 2 and March 16.
Where and when you run or ride is up to you. The run or ride must be done in one go to qualify, it is not an accumulation of kilometres throughout the two weeks. You are responsible for your own health and safety, and compliance with government restrictions and laws.

STEP 3: Send in proof of your run or ride.
This can be done through Strava or with data from another running app or fitness tracking device. Proof must be received by 11.59pm Sunday, March 31 to [email protected]

STEP 4: Wait for your medal to arrive!
In early April we will send out your finishers medal if you opted to receive one, and if you have an Australian address. As a virtual participant, you are not eligible for any other awards.

🚨BRIDGE TO BRIDGE CANCELLED🚨

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the 2025 AWMA Cohuna Bridge to Bridge has to be cancelled. Due to recent changes in traffic management rules by VicRoads, and the subsequent DRAMATIC increase in the cost of hiring a traffic management company, we are unable to run the event. This also means after the event celebrating 30 years in 2023, that it is unlikely we will be able to run the Bridge to Bridge again.

We want to thank every volunteer who has assisted to run the event since its beginning 32 years ago. We also want to thank every one who has participated in the Bridge to Bridge over the years, to help us raise money for our hospital. Since 1994, the Bridge to Bridge has raised and donated a whopping $178,000 to the Cohuna District Hospital. We are absolutely devastated that we were unable to see the return of the event in 2025.

We as a committee deeply apologise for any inconvenience this has caused, the decision and its timing was taken completely out of our hands. All options to overcome this, have been exhausted.

The 2025 Bridge to Bridge committee will be at the Cohuna Apex Park from 8am on Sunday. For anyone who is doing the virtual events we will be able to provide you with your medal upon completion and we will be drawing the raffle at 9.30am.

🚨 Exciting News 🚨

We are THRILLED to announce a brand new event at the AWMA Cohuna Bridge to Bridge – The Peace Pacer - a Memorial Sprint to honor the late Karyn Peace.

Karyn was a true pillar of our community, dedicating her time and energy to so many local groups including the Bridge to Bridge, Leitchville Kinder, AP&H Society, CCS and CSC Committees, Cemetery Trust, Hospital Board, Little Athletics, and the Cohuna Kangas Football Netball Club, where she served as Secretary, Netball President, Coach, and Life Member. Her legacy lives on in everything she gave to the people around her.

In her honor, we are introducing two 100m sprints – one for women and one for men – where local football and netball clubs will go head-to-head for the title. Each club will nominate an entrant for each race and we’re excited to see some friendly competition spark between our local teams!
We hope this event will become an annual tradition, bringing the community together to celebrate Karyn’s contributions and continue fostering the strong community spirit she helped build. The winning clubs will receive a perpetual trophy. 🏆
