We share our deepest sympathies to the Cleave family as they say goodbye to John today.

John, an honorary life member of the Cohuna & District A P & H Society, will be greatly missed.

His legacy lives on in each year the Cohuna Show prospers.

Runner Up – Best Innovation Small Section! 🍋

We’re thrilled to share that the Cohuna Show has taken out Runner Up in the Victorian Agricultural Shows 2026 Best Innovation Small Section award for our Fair Lemonade initiative!🥤🥈

A huge thank you to our incredible community for getting behind us at the Cohuna Farmers Market — every cup you bought helped us raise funds for the show while spreading the word about what’s to come. This innovation wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing team of volunteers who kept the lemonade flowing, and without YOU showing up to support us.

Congratulations also to Numurkah Show Society for taking out the win with their Town Scavenger Hunt! 👏 🏆

🔹Numurkah Show - Innovation: Town Scavenger Hunt 🔹
The innovation was designed to boost community engagement through an interactive, family friendly experience in the lead up to the show strengthening connections with local businesses. With just under 160 participants taking part in the scavenger hunt in the September school holidays the participants completed riddles or clues while visiting local businesses to get those clues to complete the scavenger hunt. It was a low cost idea that created engagement around the upcoming show and providing a no cost activity for families to get involved in.

The innovation was created to raise funds for the show society through selling lemonade at the local Cohuna Farmers Market. It was an opportunity to advertise the show at a different event and sell a local product. They created a brand and marketing material and had a team of volunteers over six markets making lemonade. It was a great opportunity for the volunteers to engage in a different task outside the show event while raising money for the show.

The innovation was created to raise funds for the show society through selling lemonade at the local Cohuna Farmers Market. It was an opportunity to advertise the show at a different event and sell a local product. They created a brand and marketing material and had a team of volunteers over six markets making lemonade. 🍋 We are absolutely THRILLED to share some exciting news- our Cohuna Show Lemonade Stand has been named a FINALIST in the Best Innovation Award (Small Section) at the Victorian Agricultural Show Awards!

This is such a special recognition for something that started as a simple idea, and we honestly couldn’t be more proud. But this isn’t just our achievement, it belongs to this incredible community. Thank you to every single person who stopped by, volunteered their time, cheered us on, and made our show the kind of place where ideas like this can come to life. 💛

The VAS Show Awards celebrate excellence across shows big and small throughout Victoria, and to be counted among the finalists is truly an honour.
