2007 saw the very first season launch at the theatre, introducing the professional touring shows and enabling the Coffs Coast to join the national regional touring network. Since then the theatre has gone from strength to strength and become one of the highlights of the region’s performing arts landscape. On an ongoing basis, we hope to establish links with the wider community, and in particular our culturally and linguistically diverse residents, communicating local stories in an effort to create community cohesion. The Box Show 🥁♻️ You won’t look at a cardboard box the same way again!

From the inventive minds of Junkyard Beats , everyday junk and household objects are transformed into incredible musical instruments in a high-energy performance that blends drumming, dance, theatre and comedy.

Follow a group of musical misfits as they turn wheelie bins into drum kits, plastic bags into instruments, and even the human body into a rhythm machine. Set in a world built entirely from cardboard boxes, this is imaginative, fast-paced and full of surprises.

Funny, physical and completely wordless, The Box Show is accessible for all ages and a celebration of creativity, rhythm and sustainability.
