On October 29th 2022 we will celebrate & showcase the talents of Coffs Coast women of all ages through holding a festival of performance, stories and short talks across a diversity of topics in celebration of 50 years of BPW Coffs Coast. Intent: Celebrate by acknowledging & showcasing Coffs Coast Women by sharing various stories, experiences & contribution to our community as well as embracing our diversity. We all make a difference in some way every day. Who: Interesting women of all ages covering the following categories: Sports; Arts; Academia; Business; Agriculture; Volunteering; Multicultural (Including First Nations)
How: The format includes ‘Bite’ sessions. These are short talks and stories, and sometimes performances, on a very wide range of subjects from the serious to the frivolous, delivered by all sorts of women, occasionally famous, but often everyday heroes. These Bites may have a feminist theme, but many will just be about amazing things women have done, fears conquered, lives changed. They are designed to engage and inspire our audience in all sorts of areas – new life insights, information, ideas, and ways of thinking. Doing a Bite can be a huge moment for some women and girls – the first time they have told their story in a public forum. Each Bite is a maximum of 15 minutes long, and there are four very different speakers/participants in a one-hour slot. You could find yourself sitting next to or hearing from to a medical researcher, a visual artist, an athlete, or a pioneer!
