Little Az**el was nearly on death’s door this afternoon—cold, soaked from the rain, and barely responsive when we found her.

We brought her inside, gave her a warm bath, a belly full of warm colostrum and probiotic paste, and slowly helped her get some warmth back into her tiny body.

Now she’s all tucked up, warm, comfortable, and enjoying a well-earned snooze. 🐐❤️

With a bit of luck, she’ll be reunited with her mum in the morning.

She’s one tough little goat, and a reminder of how quickly things can turn around with a little care, warmth, and attention.

What a fantastic weekend at the Southern Aurora Show! 🐐

A huge shout out to Lynn and Melissa for putting on an awesome show as always. Thank you to our international judge, Paul Moore from South Africa, for travelling all the way to judge the show.

Massive thanks to Alex and Aiden for all the help prepping the goats, and to everyone else who lent a hand throughout the day. Thank you to my mum Hilda for keeping everyone hydrated and fed, and to Kim for capturing all the photos.

A special thank you to Ang and Jason for organising our hay and letting our goats stay overnight at their property after the show – we really appreciate the support.

Emthunzini Boer Goats had a great day in the ring, winning numerous classes, but we’re especially proud to have taken out Junior Champion Solid Colour Boer Doe Kid and Junior Champion Solid Colour Boer Buck Kid.

Super proud of the team and the goats – great results all round! 🐐🏆
