Aldous' hushed intimacy, sly humour and shape-shifting vocal theatrics are always both unsettling and gut-wrenchingly beautiful. Her new album Train on the Island is no exception. It’s Reconciliation Week so what better time to put the spotlight on Docker River Band, bringing their reggae rhythms and desert soul from Kaltukatjara, a tiny station in the middle of the WA desert, to Dja Dja Wurrung Country this November. These guys are the real deal. Singing in their native Pitjantjatjara and in English, DRB is led by a unique and powerful vocalist Roy Jugadai with an incredibly tight band around him. Relating everyday life in Kaltukatjara (Docker River), they draw inspiration from the red earth, cliffs, waterholes, and bush life. It’s a massive sound with an even bigger spirit and we are absolutely delighted to host their Victorian debut at Town Folk. Put your dancing boots on. ❤️💛🖤

Flyte is English songwriters Will Taylor and Nick Hill. Travelling with a rhythm section, this will be their debut tour of Australia and it would be fair to say that the fanbase is ready and waiting with open arms. Their sound moves effortlessly between tender acoustic ballads, shimmering indie pop and cinematic slow-builders. They possess asylum levels of restraint — the kind of music that rewards close listening. They enlisted legendary producer Ethan Johns on their most recent album Between You And Me and it has been a breakout success in Europe. Australia will be next. Welcome Flyte.
