Castle Hill Vintage RC Festival

Hi guys,

Firstly can I thank everyone for their patience, a few things have been happening in the background and we are planning for this year to be yet another amazing Festival with a number of international competitors making the trip to race with us on the 25th and 26th of November.

We will be opening entries next week, so get in early and secure your spot.

When you enter on RCSignup, to save a bit of time in the morning, can we ask that all entries have the correct transponder number entered and if you could pay online it will really help us get things organized and under way sooner.

A post will be made next week outlining the details and a link for entry.

Please see the attached image for class details, motor requirements and heat restrictions for each class.

Entries for round 2 of the Crazy Hobbies summer Vintage series are now open!

The details:
Date: Saturday February 25th
Time: 11am to 3pm

Cost: $15 and $10 for Novice

You can set a nick name and if you make your nick name the same as the name in the custom directory I think it makes everything work well

Hi Everyone, just wanted to clarify 2wd rear motor to mid motor converted cars - emphasis on the word 'converted.'

Mid motor conversions are generally not permitted, with a couple of minor exceptions and will not be eligible for the main podium prizes. See image.

We are talking about where people want to convert their rear motor Losi XX, JRX or ### or RC10 et al into a mid motor 2wd buggy. We are not talking about 2wd cars that were released as mid motor, such as Frogs, Hornets etc. Below, where it states mid motor cars can only be entered into that class we are not talking about Frogs, Hornets et al - just later model Vintage/Legends class cars that have been converted to mid motor.

Hey everyone. In addition to the 'serious' racing we are opening up the day to people who have never raced, not raced for a long time or just want to dip their to in the water, so to speak. Basically run any of your vintage buggies in the event, there is no need to run a transponder (you can if you want) and you dont have to be there all day. You will get 4 rounds in the space of a few hours and there are no trophies or sheep stations up for grabs. Also a good class to invite your mates or siblings along. Any questions just ask away.

To make the entry process easier can everyone please set yourself up on rcsignup. This is not the event opening, just you setting yourself up on the system that you then later use to enter, once entries are open. You should have your transponder numbers handy when doing so and list all the cars you want to race. I will include video instructions in the comments below. Click on the link to go to ‘Racer’ registration.

There is no cost to register yourself. They ask for your address, if you dont feel comfortable with that just put a fake address

FESTIVAL INFORMATION PACK NOW ONLINE. Main changes are the addition of a 17.5 class, a slight mixing of the schedule and we will group some of the prior years classes together (then grade on lap times but still have the old classes as sub classes with their own trophies within the new bigger class).
