Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games

Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games The 20th Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games are being held on the Gold Coast, Queensland from 10-17 October 2026.

Employees of emergency services agencies are eligible to compete.(Even those who have left with 5+yrs service)

See you at GC26 First held in 1984, the inaugural Australian National Police Games were founded with the intention of bringing Police Service personnel together under the common banner of sport. This spirit of friendly competition has been expanded to embrace competitors from New Zealand

and other Pacific nations. From 1999, all full-time Emergency Services personnel were also invited to compete. The Australasian Police and Emergency Service Games is the property of the Australia New Zealand Police Games Federation. The Federation is managed by a Chairman and Board of Directors, Administration, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Sport. The Board is supported by a Committee which is made of delegates from the sporting bodies in each jurisdiction. Like no other event on the Emergency Services calendar, the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games builds camaraderie and promotes a healthy life style through the participation in sport, while heightening the public's awareness of Police and Emergency Services. The games are conducted every second year at a new location which also provides competitors the opportunity to travel and enjoy a holiday at numerous locations throughout Australia and New Zealand. Competitors at the Games also contribute points from specific events towards two trophies which are awarded by the Federation. The Australia New Zealand Police Games Federation Trophy, and the Emergency Services Shield. These respective trophies are retained by the winning jurisdiction for the period between each games, when once again they are up for grabs. Previous hosts of the event were:

💦 WHAT IS A MANU? 💦

Think you’ve got what it takes to create the BIGGEST splash at GC26? 🌊

The Manu Competition is making waves at the Aqua Blitz, and trust us… you don’t want to miss this one.

So, what exactly is a Manu? 🤔A Manu is a Water Bomb (Splash) created by launching yourself off a platform into the water — with points awarded for:

💥 Splash🔊 Sound😎 Style

There are TWO ways to compete:

🌊 Traditional ManuThe classic! Competitors must enter the water in a V-shaped formation, with the buttocks entering the water first to maximise that splash factor.

🎭 Freestyle ManuAnything goes! Bring your best moves with entries like:🦍 Gorilla📎 Staple⚰️ Coffin🏐 Ball💥 Backslap🎯 Canon-ball😬 Belly Flop…or invent your own signature style!

📋 Rules of the splash zone:✔️ No run-ups✔️ Jump straight out (no sideways launches)✔️ No props (bottles, balls, etc.)✔️ Use the allocated launch platform✔️ Swimwear attire required

At the moment we’ve got 4 females and 12 males signed up — but we know there are plenty more future Manu legends out there!

So while you’re at the Aqua Blitz, make the most of it and register for the GC Games Manu Competition.

🌊 Bring the splash.🔊 Bring the noise.😎 Bring the style.

🏉 Rugby 7s
🏈 AFL9s
🌊 Surf Lifesaving

🚗⚡ Thinking about making the switch to an EV? Now might be the time!

The Australian Government is set to significantly reduce the rebate on electric vehicles delivered after March 2027 — meaning the savings available right now may not be around for much longer.

If you’re looking to avoid the fuel price rollercoaster and get yourself behind the wheel of a fantastic EV, our valued GC26 sponsor, Statewide Novated Leasing, can help get you on the road with a novated lease that suits you.

Don’t wait until the savings disappear — explore your options now and see why so many Australians are making the move to electric. 🔋🚘

A huge thank you to Statewide Novated Leasing for supporting GC26 and helping our emergency services community drive smarter.

Established in 2001, Statewide Novated Leasing has built a strong reputation in the salary packaging and novated leasing market. 100% Queensland owned and operated, we pride ourselves on being Queenslanders serving Queenslanders.
