08/04/2026
The Future Eventing Committee warmly welcomes you to our 2026 event. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend. The weather is looking to be wonderful with a top of 27 degress both days.
A few small housekeeping bits of information to help make your weekend run as smoothly as possible for you
Draw and helper Jobs
As some of you may have notice the draw and helper duties have been uploaded onto event secretary. Please check your times and classes to ensure you entered the correct classes. As always it is best practise to double check your times Saturday morning to check for scratching's and changes that could affect your time.
Please look at your helper jobs, every effort has been taken to try and give everyone helper jobs that they requested or ones that worked around your ride times. We do not have many spare helpers so please if you do scratch, please may you either do your helper job or find someone to do it for you. You will receive a larger refund if your helper job is completed.
Yards
You will see attached in this email the yard allocations, mud maps of where the yards are located on the grounds and a mud map of where arenas and access is for riders over the weekend.
Please ensure your yards and camping area are left spotless when you leave. Please remove all hay and manure and place it in the manure pits. Please fill in holes your horses may have dug.
We do have spare yards available – If you would like to use any of the spare yards, please contact us so we can put your name on them. Yards are $15 per yard.
Rider Meeting
We will be hosting a rider meeting on Saturday night at 6:30pm at the clubrooms. There will be important information from our Officials regarding Sundays XC so it is important all riders attend.

There is a QR code attached in this email for you to scan to join a WhatsApp group. Use of bikes/scooters in the camping area is permitted however must be used responsibly. One person per bike/scooter and helmets are to be worn. Speed to be kept to walking pace. This is to keep everyone safe, we do not want an accident on our hands.
No bikes/scooters are to be ridden around at the Canteen.

XC Course After Dark
A reminder of the rules regarding walking XC courses. Please ensure you wait until the courses are open for walking and ensure you are only walking courses during DAYLIGHT HOURS. This mean NO WALKING THE XC COURSE AT NIGHT. Please ensure your children are not playing out on the XC course at night. This is again to keep you safe. There are collapsable XC Jumps (MIM Fences) which if people run into, sit on etc they can collapse and be seriously injured.
536.2 Cross Country Course
It is forbidden, under penalty of elimination, to the Athletes to inspect the obstacles or the course before it is officially open.
536.2.1 Opening Time
The Cross Country Course will be opened to all Athletes at the latest the day before the Cross Country Test. After the course has been officially opened athletes are allowed to revisit the course and examine the obstacles during the hours of daylight. This examination must take place on foot only unless special permission is given by the Ground Jury.
Quiet Hours
Please be respectful of your camping neighbours as well as the Neighbours of Capel Horse and Pony Club by ensuring you keep noise to a minimum in the evenings so that everyone both 2 and 4 legged can get some well deserved rest.
Mobile Phone usage while riding
In the interest of keeping everyone safe, please can we ensure that while you are riding you are not on your phone. We want to avoid accidents where possible. We are aware of some medical conditions that are monitored through mobile phone usage. We ask those that require this to please speak to the OC before hand so we are aware.
Presentations
Presentations will be occurring as each class finishes. Once final scores for each height is published and the 30 minute window for protests has finished we will be starting presentations for that height. Please keep an eye on the WhatsApp chat to know when that is the case. Please ensure you collect your prize 😊
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend, please if there are any issues or questions do not hesitate to ask us as we are more than happy to assist you with anything you need over the weekend.
Happy Riding!
