Some great advice from the team at The Unusual Pet Vets. I’d like to thank Daniella at Canberra for coming on board this year as our head avian vet contact for our show. We look forward to working together again heading into the Royal Canberra Show in Feb and the Poultry Show in June 2027, as the Show celebrates it's Centenary.

Congratulations to all the 2026 recipients of the Champions of the RAS Award. The two I'm especially proud to see get recognition are Mrs Jane Avent, a fellow Royal Canberra poultry show volunteer (and cable tie professional now) and Mr Guy Fahey, long time poultry exhibitor, judge and good friend from Albury. Both very deserving winners for their years of service to the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.

Among the thousands of awards presented at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the Champions of the RAS Award is one of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW’s most prestigious awards, recognising individuals who have exhibited an outstanding dedication to not only the Show but the wider agricultural industry. Over the next few weeks, the RAS will highlight these fifteen worthy champions and thank them for their long-standing commitment and dedication to their chosen field.
