💜 As we navigate through the complexity of life, our q***r identity consistently interacts with different social changes, personal responsibilities, relationships, and emotions.

👉 These could be the discrimination we have to endure just for being who we are, or the challenging conversations we have with our parents about acceptance.

Canberra Q***r Film Festival 2026 - Closing Night: Montreal, My Beautiful (Canberra Premiere)

Feng Xia (Joan Chen), a 53-year-old Chinese immigrant and mother living in Montreal, has spent her life shaped by duty to her family, her culture, and a loveless marriage. But when she meets Camille (Charlotte Aubin), a spirited young Québécoise, a long-buried desire is awakened.

In the balmy and joyful Montreal summer, Feng Xia takes the radical step of choosing herself - embarking on a journey of forbidden love and long-overdue self-discovery.
