Calamvale parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards that takes place every Saturday at 7am at Calamvale District Park, Formby Street, Calamvale situated approx 18 km south-west of Brisbane’s CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers

an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Calamvale parkrun is supported by the Brisbane City Council Lord Mayor’s Suburban Initiative Fund.

Still looking for a car park Marshall. Anyone?

Our volunteer roster over the last few weeks has been full so no requests for help needed.

However, we are short of a few roles for this Saturday so I hope after a few weeks off we have a couple of kind volunteers put their hand up for the following:

- barcode scanner - Filled
- car park Marshall
