Anchor Drop is back with another stacked lineup of original artists, taking you from laid-back afternoon hangs through to a dancefloor-worthy Saturday night. This one leans into hip-hop, reggae and groove-heavy sounds, with plenty of surprises along the way.

What a night.

A massive thank you to every single person who came down and supported local original music at ANCHOR DROP // Autumn Edition. Seeing so many people turn up, connect, dance, listen, and support these artists is exactly why we do this.

To all of the bands and artists who shared their music with us, thank you! The quality of original music coming out of Cairns is second to none, and we're proud to help create a space where it can be celebrated.

A huge thank you to the team at Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron and Hook and Sail Catering for backing local music and providing such a fantastic venue for the event.

A special thank you to Nathan David Kelly - Photographer, Greg Bolton and Rolly Antilef for filming and photographing the event and helping us capture the atmosphere that makes Anchor Drop what it is.

Thank you to ProNoiz Studio for choosing Anchor Drop as the setting for the pilot episode of their new web series. We're honoured to have been part of it and can't wait to see the finished result.

Events like this don't happen without an incredible crew behind the scenes. Huge thanks to Matt, Nick, Heni, Jack, Tessa, Dilja, Phoebe and Wilma for all the work that went into making the night happen. From artist liaison and ticketing through to production, logistics, setup and pack down, your efforts were felt across every part of the event.

Most importantly, thank you to YOU - the audience. Buying a ticket, bringing your friends, sharing a post, cheering for a band, grabbing a drink, or simply showing up all helps build a stronger future for original music in our region.

Anchor Drop exists because artists, venues, crew, media and audiences all choose to show up and support one another. We don't take that for granted.

Next up, we drop again on AUG 15 with a hip hop, reggae and funk-tinged edition of Anchor Drop. We've got another huge lineup of local talent ready to go, and we can't wait to do it all again.

Doors open 5PM at Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron

Weather is looking GOOD ☀️

Online tickets close tonight at midnight - but tickets will also be available on the door.

A few quick do’s and don’ts before you head down:

- Your fav camping chair
- Your mates
- Snacks/nibbles if you want
- Good vibes and dancing shoes

Current full CCYS members receive free entry.
Social members must purchase a ticket.

Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron is a licensed venue with bar facilities running all day, so please support the venue that’s helping make events like this happen ❤️
