My heart goes out to my wedding couple today. We met in Palm Cove to do a rehearsal yesterday. The wedding party was there, but the couple were running behind as the bride had had to take a call. This call, I was told, was not good news. It turns out that my couple, FIFO casuals, had recently both been offered full-time employment. The day before, however, the mining company (I will get the name and add it later) had contacted the groom to tell him he was being let go. They called the bride the next day, as she was walking to the rehearsal, to tell her that she, too, was being let go. HR confirmed that they knew it was the day before their wedding. They would also not tell the couple why they were being let go. My bride arrived sobbing her heart out. I'm going to make this wedding the most love filled and joyous occasion that I possibly can. 💔💔💔

Shona and Boris were an absolute breath of fresh air. I felt like we had been friends since forever. They also chose the most awesome venue that happens to be just around the corner from me, The Floriana Boutique Hotel on Esplanade, beautiful decor and design, dark woods, deep greens, leather and a very Gatsby vibe. Very validating moment today. A young lady came in looking for a burgundy 3-piece suit for her fiancé, but I showed her where to look online, ASOS (in case you're interested). Another bride came in and we BOTH started helping her. Ended up showing them the reel I recently posted compliments of Dear Evie content creator. They both shouted, "I watched this!!", at the same time. Super stoked.

I recently did a wedding and reception for my close friends Jen Cope and James Dibble, now Mr & Mrs James and Jen Dibble at The Bluewater Trinity Park. Content creator captured me on video doing my thing at the ceremony, a video which I have posted all over the place due to my limited understanding (soon to be remedied) of social media outside of personal posts (trying to post a highlight takes me forever, much swearing, deleting and multiple Google searches). Suffice to say that I did manage to get it onto IG despite multiple edits as I forgot #'s and mentions. At my last glance it had received 980 views 😮🫨😮🫨😮🫨... about 970 more than my usual posts. Anyhoo, I just received an awesome mention from Jen Dibble nee Cope of Ocean Weddings & Events wedding planners... and here it is... Thank you Mrs Dibble.
