Central Lakes parkrun

Central Lakes parkrun Central Lakes parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run/walk put on by the community for the community at 7a The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once!

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Central Lakes parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful course and get physically active in the process.

We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. Print your barcode to bring along to the run, then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for coming to Central Lakes parkrun this morning.
Congratulations to our newest Run Director Stacey - you did a fab job this morning!!
Congratulations also to our park runners who achieved milestones this morning - Ronald, Kevin, Tina 🎉
I will post a seperate post with some lost property as we are getting quite a collection again.

There was a big, fun puddle after the 1km mark and lots and lots of mulchy debris but she knows all her friends will be very careful tomorrow!

An absolute HUGE shout out this morning to young fella Hunter who not only snagged a PB, but also finished 1st for the first time. Well done mate on both accounts 👏👏

Congrats go to Paul who achieved his 50th milestone today after coming back from injury. Well done, keep it up! 👏👏

Welcome to our first timer Zeke, and welcome back the couple who took a very long break between parkruns and congrats to all who achieved a PB this morning.

Housekeeping: There were 2 tops/jackets left at the table this morning, send a message thru if you're missing your extra layer... They have been added into the equipment box for next week, but we don't hold on to lost property for long.
