This month at Saltwater Busselton you can experience the excitement of spectacular music and high energy dance, as Boogie Down South takes to the floor! Spectator tix only $40 for each night’s session. Lindy-hop to it!!

Celebrating its 10th edition, Boogie Down South invites audiences to enjoy performances from some of Western Australia’s finest jazz and rhythm bands at Saltwater Busselton.

From 25 to 27 September, this vibrant swing and jazz festival will feature a variety of bands and dance performances, with different musicians and dancers taking to the floor each evening.

Alongside the music are spectacular performances by some of Australia’s leading swing dancers and internationally renowned guest instructors.

Spectators are invited to experience the energy and excitement of the event by enjoying the show from above, with spectator tickets available for purchase on level 2 of the theatre.

On Friday, 25 September, 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝘅 & 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗦𝗶𝘅 will play vintage jazz and swing while dancers from Brisbane and Melbourne take to the floor.

Fronted by rising star Sofie Kerr and backed by a dynamic six-piece band, they bring the spirit of the 1940s dance hall era into the modern day.

Each musician in the band is a seasoned professional in their own right, whether rising talent or established jazz stalwart, united by a shared instinct for what makes music truly swing.

With a focus on feel and authenticity, AJ Hix & His Rhythm Six live to bounce, hop, jump, and swing.

150 years ago today CATALPA arrived in New York, having sailed to the other side of the world in a daring rescue mission to free six Irish Fenians held at Fremantle Prison, political prisoners fighting against the tyranny of British rule.

An amazing story of courage, resilience, hope and the belief in fighting for what is right, captured in THEATRE 180’s production CATALPA: Flight to Freedom.

Tickets are now on sale for the next performance of this acclaimed play at Saltwater Busselton Wednesday 11th November, 7:30pm.
