Don’t miss Francis Mallmann's return to the East Coast in Our Food Stories - Godfather of Fire. 🔥

More than a demonstration, this is a conversation unfolding over two hours. Francis will share stories of fire cooking, his travels and using produce around the world. Each dish is prepared in the moment, responding to the produce at its peak, then tasted as part of a relaxed, communal meal. Guests will listen, watch, ask questions and eat together, experiencing food not as a menu, but as a living narrative.

Francis will teach every dish from start to finish, sharing techniques and instincts, ensuring guests leave with practical knowledge they can confidently recreate at home. Once completed, guests will immediately taste the flavours, textures and nuances discussed, learning through both observation and experience.

Every participant will receive a dedicated Francis Mallmann masterclass folder, containing all recipes taught during the session as well as a copy of one of his books, Green Fire, Mallmann on Fire or Seven Fires.

Be greeted with a warm hug or handshake, grab a drink from the Eski and roll up your sleeves. You’re not entering a masterclass, you’re arriving at Simon Evans’ place for a garden party.

Our Food Stories - Simons Garden Party is an immersive experience recreating the relaxed, generous chaos of a great mate’s backyard gathering: music playing, drinks being poured, friends lending a hand in the kitchen, and incredible food coming together over fire.

Guests are welcomed like old friends. They help themselves to a cold beer or regional wine from the eski, pass plates, stir sauces, chop herbs, tend the BBQ and shape the flow of the experience.

At the centre of it all is Simon, sharing the food stories that have shaped his career with the help of his best mate. You’ll leave feeling less like a spectator and more like a participant, while discovering new flavours, new ideas, and a deeper connection to Australian ingredients.
