MORE THAN JUST A SING-A–LONG:
It’s a Launching Pad for Future Stars

Karaoke Fever is set to light up Bundanoon Club on Saturday, 25 April, and it promises to be far more than just a fun night out. For up-and-coming singers, it’s a genuine chance to step onto one of the most professional live performance stages in the Southern Highlands and put their voice to the test in front of a crowd that loves live entertainment and appreciates fresh talent.

With state-of-the-art lighting, quality sound, and a proper stage atmosphere, Karaoke Fever gives local singers the kind of setting that can make all the difference. It’s one thing to sing in the lounge room or at home with mates, but it’s another thing entirely to stand under the lights, hear your voice fill the room, and connect with an audience that’s ready to cheer you on. That kind of experience builds confidence, sharpens stagecraft, and helps performers grow.

It’s also the perfect stepping stone for singers who may want to cross over into The Gig Room’s Open Mic scene, where vocalists can begin performing alongside live musicians in a real band setting. For many emerging artists, that’s how the journey begins. One strong karaoke performance can lead to bigger opportunities, fresh collaborations, and the confidence to take the next step.

Whether you’re workshopping new material, testing your nerves in front of a crowd, or simply chasing that rush that comes from live performance, Karaoke Fever offers a supportive and exciting environment to develop as a singer.

Add in great prizes, a lively audience, and a brilliant atmosphere, and you’ve got all the ingredients for a standout night.

SUNDAY SOUND WITH SERIOUS SOUL:
Chris Reay Opens in Style

The Gig Room Open Mic – Support Act

Chris Reay brings experience, soul and a genuine love of live music to The Gig Room Open Mic on Sunday 29 March, where he takes to the stage as the Support Act from 2pm.

A familiar face to local audiences, Chris has performed at Bundy Club Open Mics in the past and has already shown that he knows how to connect with a crowd. This session, he steps into The Gig Room for the first time, bringing with him two decades of musical experience, a strong blues and classic rock influence, and a laid-back style that suits the spirit of a Sunday afternoon jam perfectly.

Chris plays acoustic guitar and electric bass, and his musical influences speak for themselves. Inspired by names such as Keith Richards, Duane Allman, Jimi Hendrix and Jack Bruce, he brings a sound shaped by groove, feel and timeless songwriting. As a vocalist, he draws inspiration from Sting, Paul McCartney and Jim Morrison, giving his performances a broad musical character that blends warmth, edge and melody.

Among the songs he loves performing are Under the Milky Way, Valerie, To Live Is to Fly and Ripple, which gives audiences a good sense of the kind of set they can expect. Chris is the kind of performer who values the craft of music, enjoys learning, and sharpens his live skills through open mics and blues’ jams. Away from the stage, he’s a software developer by trade, a family man, and someone whose passion for music clearly runs deep.

Originally from Cape Town, Chris brings both life experience and musical depth to every performance, and his Sunday appearance is set to be one of the highlights of the afternoon.

Whether you’re coming along to cheer on first-time performers, catch the main acts, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, make sure you’re there early for Chris Reay at 2pm. His first Gig Room Open Mic performance promises to help set the tone for another memorable afternoon of live music at the Bundy Club.

When: Support Act – Sunday 29 March from 2.00pm (Open Mic from 1.00pm till 5.00pm).

How an Aussie Duo Became Country's Hottest Act

The Gig Room Open Mic – Main Act – 29 March from 2.30pm.

Studio8 is an award-winning Australian singer-songwriter duo consisting of Luke Johnson and Michelle Morgan, celebrated for their heartfelt, genre-blending music that resonates with audiences worldwide.

Building on this momentum, their latest single, "No More of those Toos”, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, with five additional singles and a full album slated for release in 2026. These upcoming projects promise to delve even deeper into their signature blend of rootsy rhythms and lyrical depth.

Over the past five years, Studio8 has become a regular feature at the prestigious Tamworth Country Music Festival, where their dynamic performances have earned them a devoted following. In 2025, they embarked on an extensive tour across regional towns in New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria, enchanting crowds with their raw energy and connection.
