Here's a little history about why we acknowledge the day:
It is a day to start conversations and check in with our loved ones in all forms, spread the word, and stand together to support victims and survivors of Domestic Violence. Today may be a hard day for some, so please remember to be kind to one another and offer a space of safety to be able to share and connect with your loved one if you can, and remember, help is within our community. If you are impacted by today's sharing, please reach out to us via DM or one of the following, or if you or a loved one is in immediate danger, please call 000 :

Happy Pansexual & Panromantic Visibility Day! 🩷💛🩵
Here's a little history about why we celebrate/acknowledge the day: it is about uplifting the community, educating the public on pan identities, and combating erasure. It highlights individuals who experience attraction regardless of gender, promoting inclusion for those who love beyond the gender binary.

Happy Agender Pride Day! 🖤🩶🤍💚🤍🩶🖤
Here's a little history about why we celebrate/acknowledge the day: It recognises and acknowledges the Agender people within our Community as seen and valid. This day also aimed to increase the visibility and experiences of agender people and amplify their voices.

Happy IDAHOBIT Day! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Here's a little history about why we celebrate/acknowledge the day:
It acts as a global call for action to fight discrimination against LGBTQIA+ communities, raise awareness of ongoing inequality, and celebrate progress toward inclusion. It also encourages schools, workplaces, and communities to create safer, more inclusive environments, as many LGBTQIA+ people still hide their identity at work or school.

HAPPY IDAHOBIT DAY 🏳️‍🌈

IDAHOBIT day is important to recognise the struggles our community faces and continue to face on a day to day basis. Like Dr Katrina Stratton MLC its important to make a stand for what you believe in even. And remember you matter and you are loved 🫶🏻

Happy LGBTQIA+ Elders Day! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Here's a little history about why we celebrate/acknowledge the day: It recognises the contributions elders have made to their communities and continue to make. It is also important to recognise the struggles they have faced within their lifetimes to help have the freedoms we have today and continue to strive for. So to the Elders within all sections of the community, we see you and thank you!

Safety shouldn’t be selective. It should be for all of us.

Right now, too many people in our communities don’t feel safe. We’ve seen a rise in harassment and violence, and we’re still working within laws that don’t fully protect LGBTIQA+ people in WA.

This month, we are calling for change and we're asking you to add your voice to amplify the message. Here's how:

🚩share this and other posts from us, Youth Pride Network - YPN, and Rainbow Futures WA during the month of May.
