What first inspired you to start running long distances?
It started as more as a challenge for myself and owing it to myself to run long distances. Each day its about being not only able to be as fit as i can be but its about being healthy and more present for people. It’s certainly changed my life with over a decade long.
How do you pace yourself over the course of a marathon?
For me the best way to pace myself to a marathon is to never overthink what pace you should do. As a matter of fact the less you think the better you will be. Focus on running with a group, always keep and eye out on nutrition and constantly keep an eye on how you’re feeling.
What has running taught you about yourself?
Running has made me learn so much about myself. I’ve learned on how my grit and commitment i can give myself if i invest in myself. Being fit and a healthy athlete not only promotes how strong i can be but also its about how mentally strong i can be too.
How do you stay motivated over long training cycles?
I have a coach and she writes my program. For me I owe my full attention to what she does for me and her belief in my potential. I do owe her that.
