A club created so as to afford its amateur members the chance to move from sprint driving to 'RACING' in their privately owned V8 powered Australian Touring Car's on Australia's best race circuits. We are CAMS affiliated and have a sister club in Queensland, the QTC ( formerly QV8's). The VicV8's have two types of membership. One is "non competitive" and the other is "competitive". Non compe
titive membership allows members to attain a basic CAMS license for events like sprinting and khana, while our Competitive membership is only for members that are accepted into the club to race in our own racing series, the Victorian V8 Series. We have planned a four round race series in 2013, our first year, and aim to conduct these races in a very novel and cost effective way. Prospective members "APPLY" to join the club, with the Committee approving applications for non competitive members immediately they are received. Competitive Membership applications are NOT automatically accepted, a knowledge of the history of the applicant is considered as well as their vehicles suitability to our club and Sporting Regulations. However non competitive membership is encouraged should an applicant want to progress to the Victorian V8 Series grid. All new members, whether non competitive or competitive receive two stickers for their car and an embroided VicV8's cap. We meet every second month at the Manhattan Hotel in Ringwood and welcome guests to attend.
