Mt Coot-tha Songwriters An annual 6-hour concert at the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens showcasing Brisbane's original roots, blues music

The Mt Coot-tha Songwriters is an annual concert event showcasing original entertainment from South East Queensland’s finest blues, roots, folk, country and acoustic songwriters. It's held at the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens bandstand nestled in the hills at the base of Mt Coot-tha. The event host and organiser is musician 8 Ball Aitken.

t here in South-East Queensland and it is my goal to highlight the best that our region has to offer, all in a family-friendly environment where people of all generations can come to the mountain with a picnic, and spend a sunny Sunday afternoon enjoying the music.“
