The events and charities will vary slightly from month to month however the goal will always remain the same, and that is to raise funds for the selected charities by running, walking, swimming or cycling throughout each month. Virtual Racing is when you register for an event online and complete it at your own chosen time and location. The distance you choose can be done all at once or cumulative
over the month of the event. You can walk, or run your chosen distance. The event medal will be posted to you at the completion of the event month. What is βActive Kidsβ? Active Kids is a way to introduce young children to being active. There is no distance requirement for this event. The aim is to get outside and get active at least once a week (more if possible) Choose to take your child to the park to kick a ball, go for a walk / run with your child or participate in any other physical activity during the event month. How do I register? Register online via the Virtual Run for a Cause website, www.virtualrunforacause.cohm.au and choose which event you would like to enter and add to your cart for purchase. What do I do after registration? Once you have registered, wait until the month the event has been scheduled for and then begin in your own time. Do I have to complete my distance at once? No, you have the choice to complete your distance at one time or cumulatively over the month. How to I track my results? You can use a GPS watch if you have one or if not we suggest using an app like Map My Run or Strava. How do I share my results? During the event you can share your run results, cumulative tally and photos through the Virtual Run for a Cause page. This can be done at any time and is a great way to stay motivated by sharing your journey with other event participants. Itβs also a great way to encourage and inspire other people. Once you have completed your chosen distance please email the result to [email protected]
Do I have to share my results to get my medal? No β Every participant will receive their medal regardless of if they share their results. If I am unable to complete my chosen distance will I still receive my medal? Yes, there will be many reasons that participants may not be able to complete their chosen distance, however just by signing up you have committed to supporting the charity partner for the event and this alone deserves a medal. When will I receive my medal? The medals will be posted in the few weeks of the month after the event was held. How much of the registration fee goes to the charity?
100% of profits goes to the nominated charity. (Each events donation amount will be varied based on sponsor contribution and medal production costs)
Can I do any of my own fundraising? This is not a requirement of the event, however if you do want to do your own fundraising we recommend setting up an official fundraising page via https://www.everydayhero.com/au/
