Weight Of War 2025 is done, but some things need to be said

my man in the sand over in Karratha, an unfortunate late cancellation due to safety, but nonetheless still a key playing in all of this.

from who did an amazing job of getting the event off the ground and coordinating everything to make it and epic day.
Plus who was the face and pep man down there for me, he also showed everyone what a real man in budgys looks like!

Big Heath from Felons, he literally runs the show on the day and is the reason Brisbane works at all.

The sponsors: ATP .2.performance TAC, and Intraface, special mention to Andrew as well for his contributions to the event.

To the lads who stepped up and crushed their fundraising goals, Jason, Jeff and Disco as well as all the lads at 8/9RAR Workshops. You are all absolute legends and I can’t thank you enough.

To everyone who came down to run or support or who donated, this event is just as much yours as it is mine. Getting to share in the suck and then sharing a beer is what makes this worth doing every year!

Lastly, donations close 31 Dec, so keep sharing your photos and add the link. I’ll do a post in the new year once’s all accounts are settled.

WOWR ‘26 might shape up to be bigger than the NYC marathon, it’s already better though!

Some bad news coming down the pipeline with regards to our Karratha event.

Unfortunately, due to an extreme heat event that’s occurring and a direct recommendation from the Heath Department WA.
We must unfortunately cancel Karrathas Weight of War Run for 2025.

Not to worry, the virtual run will be extending out a month, so when it’s safe to do so, you can still don the vest and budgys and tag the hell out of us!

But team, there’s always 2026!
