Our AGM was held last Wednesday night and we were so pleased that all positions were filled and we have an enthusiastic group of committee members ready to start planning for our show. We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Corinne Rule our outgoing Secretary, who has been with us since 2023 and is now moved to Camping Coordinator and Committee Member. And we say a huge WELCOME to our new Secretary Jil Neave.

Special thanks must also go to all of our committee members and their families who give up so much time throughout the year to take great care of the show grounds and bring us the show.
Please stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks as we start to renew memberships and contact sponsors. Thank you all for your support.

A Simpler Secretary Role – Bridgetown Agricultural Society
Good news! The Secretary role for the Bridgetown Agricultural Society has been reviewed and simplified to make it a much more manageable position.
The role now focuses on a few key tasks such as meeting agendas and minutes, managing emails and correspondence, answering the BAS mobile, assisting with venue hire enquiries, and checking the P.O. Box.
It’s a paid honorarium role, and you won’t be left to figure things out alone — our retiring Secretary, and experienced committee members will help guide you through the transition.

🚨If you’ve been thinking about it this is the time to step up!! Corinne is stepping down at the AGM in April and we can’t function without a Secretary!! 🚨

The Bridgetown Agricultural Society is looking for a Secretary to join our team of volunteers. You will be required to attend monthly meetings (second Wednesday of each month), manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence, assist with show ground bookings (including camping events) and other general secretarial duties. You will be supported by a great bunch of experienced show committee members, as well as the outgoing secretary. There is an honorarium on offer for the right person. Camping at the Showgrounds is now open for the Easter Tennis Tournament!

Dates: Thursday 2 April – Tuesday 7 April 2026
Location: Bridgetown Showgrounds

Powered sites are available, however numbers are limited – early booking is recommended.
