Borden Pavilion is the Great Southern’s premier regional function venue, ideal for meetings, conferences, workshops, concerts and exhibitions.

Centrally located in the Gnowangerup Shire, Borden Pavilion is 120 kilometres north of Albany.

🌾 CASE IH AF SERIES OPEN DAY

The Borden Pavilion is excited to welcome Farmers Centre to the Pavilion for an afternoon showcasing the brand-new CASE IH AF Series Combines this September 17th!

If you’re a local grower, harvest operator or simply interested in seeing what’s new in harvesting technology, come along and have a look at the next generation of machinery.

The afternoon will be a great opportunity to see the AF Series up close, learn about its increased capacity and efficiency, and have your questions answered.

Joining us will be Pete O’Connell, CASE IH Harvesting Specialist, who’ll be on hand to share his knowledge and chat all things harvest and machinery.

Borden looks forward to welcoming Theatre180 in collaboration with the Royal Flying Doctors Service at the Pavilion on September 23rd 2026.

As part of the RFDS Western Operations Centenary in 2028, multi-award-winning THEATRE 180 is travelling across WA, collecting the stories and memories that will inspire a new radio play, theatre production and touring exhibition.

Join us at the Borden Pavilion for a cuppa and a chat and share your connection to the Flying Doctor, whether it’s a dramatic rescue, a moment of kindness, a family memory, or simply what the RFDS has meant to our community.

No polished story needed, they simply want to hear from you. Come along, share a memory and help celebrate 100 years of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Looking at the month ahead, we have lots on for everyone at the pavilion 🤍

Dancing for Life is back for a three week stint, offering a 30min class for our little ones not yet in school and a 45min class for those in school. Royal Flying Doctor in collaboration with Theatre 180 will make a visit to Borden for a story telling session for an upcoming project!
Plenty more details are to come. 🌻🌸

The Bloom Festival is coming to Borden! 🌸

We’re very excited to be part of Bloom Festival 2026, with two beautiful creative workshops coming to the Borden Pavilion this wildflower season.

First up a Wildflower Embroidery Workshop held on Sunday 4 October
Slow down and get creative as you learn to stitch your own wildflower-inspired piece, taking a little piece of our local landscape home with you.

Native Wreath Workshop, on Wednesday 7 October
Learn how to create your own wreath using beautiful local native flora, celebrating the colours, textures and unique plants of our Great Southern landscape.

Both workshops are a wonderful opportunity to get creative, connect with others and celebrate the incredible wildflowers that make our region so special.

We’re still reminiscing on the magic of Aliwah Bardinar! 🦜🪩

What a wonderful immersion in Noongar language and culture for our Great Southern schools. Through bright colours, incredible costumes, vibrant energy and storytelling, the room was full of smiles. We definitely spotted a few little shoulders shaking along to the music!

A huge thank you to CircuitWest for bringing this fabulous show to the region, and to our sponsors Australia Post and Shire of Gnowangerup for helping make it possible right here in Borden.

On Tuesday we had the pleasure of welcoming Aliwah Bardinar (Look Out, Rosella) in to the Borden Pavilion.

What an amazing performance this is! We witnessed our beautiful native species come to life with colourful costume, vibrant music and contagious energy.

This performance brought liveliness to a beautiful story and we are so glad we got to share it with 6 amazing Great Southern Schools.

Thank you to the schools that came across to Borden and joining in on the fun. We hope that all your little ones came running home, moving and grooving and excited to share what they had witnessed.

Thank you Australia Post and the Shire of Gnowangerup for making this show accessible and achievable in our small town.

Seeing the Pavilion full of people moving, laughing and catching up over a slice of pizza & bubbles afterwards is exactly what we love to see.

A huge thank you to both Sally House and Michelle Richardson. Sally delivered us a fun & challenging that had everyone feeling the burn. Michelle ensured we had an amazing selection of pizzas and bubbles & b**r for everyone!

One attendee summed up the afternoon perfectly! Thanks you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon such a success. We can’t wait to do it all again! 🥂💛
