FAREWELL - Many of you already know that I closed down the studio permanently many months ago having moved to Newcastle NSW a few years back to be with my gorgeous wife Trudie on our little property in the Hunter Valley.
Covid pretty much saw the end of Eleven40 and my heart was never in it again after that so hence its been a wayward last few years. I'm not shooting much these days except for Trudie's business and spend the majority of my time trying to restore and develop an old property, look after 3 dogs, 10 sheep, 6 chooks and a Burmese cat while also wrangling a few too many Tiger Snakes of late and bottle feeding one of our abandoned little lands every 4 hours.
It's hard to believe that for some 12 years I was lucky enough to be at the amazing 1140 Malvern Rd address and I'm so grateful to have had many wonderful times, met some amazing people, done some awesome shoots (while wearing my Blue Fish hat), hosted some great exhibitions and probably drank too much hosting lots of different events.
So a big thanks to all my past staff, clients, friends and fellow photographers that I had the privilege of meeting on the journey. I've learnt so much from you all, pushed some pretty interesting boundaries and made more than my fair share of mistakes along the way. I'd particularly like to acknowledge Paul Glasser, Dallas Graham, Raylene O'hare, Christopher Howe, Robyn Mitchell, Troy Witte, Mike Christoffel, Max Gibson, Liam Lynch, Rupert Laycock, Dave Cole, Mandarine Montgomery and Rory Shinners who all contributed amazingly over many years of Blue Fish Productions and Eleven40 whilst also putting up with my weird creative ways and grumpiness while also creating some amazing work and memories.
