If you’re one of my clients who enjoys my dogs being in the studio during your appointment, you’re well and truly familiar with this one! Little Miss Star, the biggest little dog ever. She’s so tiny you barely notice when she tries to fully climb in your lap. She’s just a little baby and not at all intense or too licky or grabby with her (so tiny) paws. 28kgs?! I don’t think so. Surely only 3-4kg. Basically a lap-dog. Let me know if you’re keen to have the dogs in the studio when I’m next working on your dreadlocks! 💛🐕💛 they are so tiny.

“I want lots of thin dreads with rounded ends and I want to be able to tie them back” he said at our consultation. No problem - let’s make it happen! And we did 🤩 Around 60 pencil thin dreads (which is a lot considering he has an undercut!), extended with custom synthetic extensions handmade by A big congratulations to my client for doing something he’s always wanted! A huge change from the ‘fro and the new look will take him some getting used to, but he really suits dreadlocks!

Some days I look at what I have created and, I am not ashamed to say, feel pretty proud of myself. This was one of those days. I had been entrusted by my client to create the she had been wishing for since she was 12 years old! Plus she is a hairstylist and has even done a dreadlocking course so knows what’s what 😳I feel so privileged to have been chosen to craft this very vibey look! My client specifically wanted *lots* of thin dreads with rounded off ends and lengthened with extensions. Instead of pre-making the extensions, which is what I usually do, I made these extensions as I went. First I sectioned it out and created the bases of the dreads with her natural hair (that’s when she looked a bit like Art3mis) then, using wefts of she had brought in, I extended each dreadlock. It certainly made our day in the studio VERY long but also VERY worth it! Over 50 dreads, just in that top part. Looks so amazing 🤩 marathon effort for my client to sit through and she did so well. Yes my hands were fried after this one (and my back and my neck and my feet and oh - did I mention my broken toe? 😂) but I am thrilled with the outcome as is my client 😍🥰🤩

Here’s yours truly having the best night hanging out with Maria from Heilung and Deya Dova! What absolutely amazing, charismatic, warm, funny and creative creatures these two women are. Feeling so privileged and humbled to have been able to share a drink or two and connect with them. I’ve been playing Deya’s music in the studio since I opened in 2017! Transformation! Sean came in to change his He wanted to go from a full head of to a When I originally made these we deliberately opted for a more random section pattern, so creating the new line for the dreadhawk required a little bit of sorcery. I think Sean looks great and like he has always had the shave. Of course we also tidied the rest of the dreads and now he’s looking fresh! Sean is keeping the dreads we cut off in case he wants to reattach them in the future, which is totally doable. 😎

Hello!! It’s been such a long time since I have posted anything. The last year or so has been relatively quiet in dreadlock land, with not so many people getting Life cycles, the economy, pop culture are some of the reasons that fewer people are getting dreads at the moment. Also LOADS of my long-term clients (I miss you!) removing their dreadlocks, each for their own reasons means less clients in the studio too. Here’s hoping things shift and that the BoD studio again buzzes with all the excitement of clients getting new dreadlocks installed, then the ongoing development of our rapport and connection as they come back regularly and have love and tidiness poured into their Yesterday was an absolute delight with a return client who removed her dreads a while back coming in for me to create some magic for her. She had recently started some but wasn’t loving it so she entrusted me to sort it out. And that I did! I left some of the freeform locs in, but most needed to come out to ensure optimal sectioning. Thanks so much to for the trust, and for allowing me to pour my creative energy into your new dreadlocks!!
