Calling All Independent Breweries: Join Bendigo On The Hop 2026! 🍻

Bendigo Beer is excited to invite independent breweries from across Australia to participate in Bendigo On The Hop 2026, our flagship winter craft beer festival. Scheduled for Saturday, 29 August 2026, from 11 AM to 6 PM, this event transforms Bendigo's CBD into a vibrant celebration of independent beer culture.

Some of these producers have been participants in Bendigo On The Hop since the early days. They and many others lost significant amounts of stock when the cool store at Harcourt was destroyed by fire. Some have had all their stock wiped out.

We are heartbroken for them and all affected by bushfires.

Support local.

The Harcourt Cooperative Cool Stores kept priceless stock for local businesses – but it was also the focal point for friendships in ‘a passionate industry’

🍻✨ Bendigo on the Hop Weekend – More to Explore! ✨🍻

Heading to Bendigo on the Hop tomorrow? The festival may be the main event, but there’s a whole weekend of satellite events to keep the good times flowing:

Friday night:
🎉 Opening Party @ The Cambrian Hotel – Friday night kicks off with DJs, festival beers, beer trivia, free wings, and that classic Cambrian party vibe.

🍕 Last Beer Before Paradise @ Bendigo Brewing (Ticketed event with The Crafty Pint) – An intimate evening of beer, pizza, and stories with brewing legends Willie Simpson & Catherine Stark, plus a chance to taste the iconic Kentish Ale alongside Bendigo Brewing’s tribute.

Saturday Night:
🎸 Live Music @ Sound Music Bar – For the first time since 2019, a live band is back! The Czech Mates will be rocking all your pub rock favourites from 6:30pm on festival night.

Sunday:
🇮🇹 Italian Day @ Shedshaker Brewing (Castlemaine) – On Sunday, keep the weekend rolling with an Italian-themed celebration, complete with a specially brewed Italian Pilsner. The perfect stop on your way back to Melbourne!

👉 Whether you’re in it for the whole weekend or just looking to add a little extra to your festival trip, plenty is happening around Bendigo to make it one to remember.
