Join Thorne Harbour Country and Bendigo Theatre Company to Celebrate IDAHOBIT at Ulumbarra on Sunday 17 May with a panel discussion with LGBTQIA+ Cast and Crew members of โPriscilla: Queen of the Desert: The Musicalโ sharing their lived experiences of participating in this production and what it means to them; discussing the themes of the musical and what has changed and what hasnโt since the original film premiered in 1994.
Doors open at 10.00am for mingling and finding your seats upstairs. Panel event commences from 10.30am - 11.30am, then enjoy some morning tea before the 1.00pm matinee performance of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert
IDAHOBIT is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia, celebrated annually on May 17th. It commemorates the World Health Organizationโs decision on May 17, 1990, to remove homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases. The day focuses on raising awareness of LGBTQIA+ rights violations and celebrating diversity.
