On the 24th August 2019 Fairies from all over Australia (predominantly QLD) are coming together from everywhere in full Fairy Attire (WINGS, WAND & TUTU) to Smash a NEW WORLD RECORD! Let’s put Australia on the Map!
It’s a close match between New Zealand and the UK (Uk held onto title for a few years...then NZ Beat them last year and just as soon as that victory cooled the UK won it straight back!)
SOOO lets have Australia swoop on in and top them both with such HUGE numbers of Fairies- it will take all our other competitors a decade to win it back lol. ALSO - Let’s not forget that last year if everyone who attended was in the “Complete Fairy Attire Requirements” - we would have had over 1400 FAIRIES - totally would have WON IT!
There is Strict Criteria in order to qualify for this particular title. The most strenuous and arduous is convincing our men to don tutu’s...so much debate over this technicality ...I too agree...NOT ALL FAIRIES WEAR TUTU’S!!! Alas the struggle is real....We can overcome this conundrum however, by getting creative and innovative....
Last year we had Bandanas wrapped around waists, Tradie Utility Belts, Sashes with hidden compartments sized perfectly for Stubbie Holder, two Flannies knotted together, Gangsta black torn material wrapped around the hips... the list goes on....the G***a Fairy had leaves in all the strategic places.....
Ofcourse the Classic tulle material in layers was on show too....At the End of the Day - they only need to be in the Tutu things for five minutes whilst the Recording of the Official Attempt takes place......I’m sure the boys, I mean Men can channel their inner Scott’s-man and wear a Kilt like contraption for five lol.
WANDS - don’t forget your Wands.....they’re so much fun - some are so so pretty - it’s easy to see why so many were misplaced or perhaps kidnapped....BUT YA’LL NEED WANDS TO BE COUNTED! Complete Fairy Attire in the Eyes of Guinness World Record Officials is Wins wand and tutu......
Yes a stick will do. Never Ever Let Anyone Doubt or Question Your Magical Abilities or Tools or wands lol.
WINGS....it seems obvious right?....however a newspaper article write up really emphasised the need for wands and tutu with no mention of WING’s last year - so therefore that meant there were a few attendees with NO WINGS lol .... NOT TO WORRY WE KNOW BETTER NOW!!!!!!!! hehehehe
So get creative or keep it simple - just come on down to this awesome whimsical event and enjoy the days festivities. We have food trucks, market stalls, psychics, gypsies, healers, face painters, entertainers and cage loads of Fairies ready to mingle with you.
Saturday the 24th August from 11:30am til 6pm. We are striving to “Officially” start the count at 5pm.
Pre-registration is opening in the next couple of days and we are looking for FAIRY TEAM LEADERS!
There will also be lots of prizes to be won - even cash to be grabbed. There will be Newspaper Crew capturing your awesomeness and professional as well as amateur Photographers snapping memories and roaming about.
We have a Baby Photo Competition. We have at event Workshops. We have Creation Stations and Chill Zones. We will have music and drumming. Something for Everybody! Even the Bar if it all get too much for you !
My Mission and Aim of these sort of events is to bring all the members of our Community together. I love closing the age barrier - doesn't matter what level you are at (Me for example I’m at level 45 lol ) it’s our inner child that comes out to play - and PLAY HEALS.
$2 Entry will have you stepping into a truely Enchanted, Psychic Playground. With % of proceeds being donated to Legacy.
I feel all formal now and want to mention that I am truely grateful to both the Logan Village RSL and the Logan Village Riding Club for allowing me to bring my kind of whimsical magic to our pocket of the world ...on their grounds....
