Drag’d Out Beechworth is taking a break, but we’ll be back in 2026!

To our incredible community, allies, and supporters—Drag’d Out Beechworth is taking a well-earned pause this year. While we won’t be hitting the stage in 2025, we remain committed to celebrating diversity, inclusivity, and the power of self-expression.

We’ll be back in 2026, bringing you an event that’s bigger, bolder, and filled with the same joy, creativity, and connection that makes our festival so special.

Thank you for your ongoing support—we can’t wait to celebrate with you all again soon!

Come see the premiere of Mieke Louise's pride music video featuring local LGBTIQA+ community members starring as cast in the film. Held on Friday the 31st of January 6:30pm at the Yackandandah Public Hall, you don't want to miss this celebration of Pride in our regional community. The free event will begin with a screening of the music video, followed by a panel discussion featuring some cast members, crew and local LGBTIQA+ advocates. The panel will be hosted by Singer/Songwriter, director of the video and creator of the music, Mieke Louise, and will delve into conversations of the cast's lived experiences, pride and filming insights. Snacks will be provided!
The "Now I See Colour" project is a Pride music video for Mieke's original song "Black and White", acting as a display of our regional LGBTIQA+ community in the form of a Pride art piece. The video celebrates and empowers Q***r identities while confronting homophobia.
Get your free ticket at the link in our bio!
This project was filmed in Beechworth and Stanley and is funded by Victoria's Pride Regional Activation Program 2024/2025 Midsumma Festival and Youth Affairs Council Victoria Healthy Equal Youth Grants in partnership with the Victorian State Government.
