Hosted at the Bassendean Hotel, it’s a weekly stand-up night where solid laughs meet a good cause. The format’s simple: entry’s free, but if you chip in a $10 donation, you get a bottlecap. That bottlecap becomes your vote for one of three local charities or fundraisers featured on the night. At the end of the show, we count the caps. Each week brings a fresh lineup of comedians - a mix of Perth favourites, rising stars, and occasional drop-ins from out-of-towners, all held together by a seasoned MC and plenty of loose Monday energy. It’s smart, sharp, and low-pressure. You can just show up, grab a drink, enjoy the show. Or, if you feel like backing something worthwhile, throw in a tenner and help someone local walk away with real support. It’s comedy, but with a point. And it’s a damn good way to cap off the night.

Got a local cause that could use a boost?

Cap Off Comedy is on the hunt for small charities, grassroots groups, and local fundraisers to feature in our weekly bottlecap vote. Each Monday night at the Bassendean Hotel, audience members donate $10, get a bottlecap, and vote for one of three featured organisations. The group with the most caps at the end of the night takes home 100% of the donation pool.

It’s simple, fun, and a genuinely useful way to raise funds — whether you’re trying to buy supplies for a school program, cover vet bills for a sanctuary, or get a community project off the ground.

We’re especially keen to hear from groups based in or around Bassendean, Swan Valley, and surrounding suburbs.
