ant cultures of Australia. In 2022, the AIES proudly accepted the Mission of Hope Australian Muslim Achievement Award for “The Event of the Year”. From its humble beginnings as a fireworks display in 2004, the Eid Show expanded in 2010 to its current format: a bi-annual festival held on the Islamic celebration dates. The introduction of amusement rides, varied food and merchandise stalls, together with all-day entertainment was a winning combination, with over 19,000 people attending the very first event. The show has grown steadily over the years and now boasts as Sydney’s second largest ride event, with over 80 food and merchandise stalls and one of the largest fireworks displays in Western Sydney. The event now sees tens of thousands of people from a range of cultural and religious backgrounds, including interstate attendees, who converge at the Bankstown Showground annually. In 2023, we will continue to strive in providing a first class event for all. Our multicultural tasty food kiosks, exciting rides, fashion, children’s toy stalls, arts and craft, animal exhibitions, fireworks, entertaining family stage shows and games, roaming entertainment, friendly staff and volunteers all allow the commencement of this wonderful event.
