Friendly PSA to all our lovely participants...
We've already had some beautiful, generous neighbours mention to us that they'll be buying DOUBLE last year's lollies for kiddos this year. While we ABSOLUTELY LOVE the enthusiasm of our community, and feel free to do so if you'd like... Please... only share what you can afford to.
We know the last couple of years have been hard on hip pockets, and the price of halloween decorations and lollies are not always within our ideal budgets. Not including all the incredible costumes parents/guardians purchase/create for their young ones.
A big part of the magic of Halloween evening is simply the sheer joy of everyone coming together to make fun and safe memories for the young people and families in our communities.
So if you run out of lollies, please don't feel any obligation to hurry down to the shops to restock... you have already contributed to an amazing night of fabulously frightening family fun - and for that, we will always be incredibly grateful!
And for those with concerned kiddies, there are number of houses each year with bowls of left over lollies, who are happy to welcome second waves/later arrivals. We'd also suggest if possible for participants, to stagger your lolly offerings and only share a small amount of your lollies at a time.
But in the mean time... we are now LESS THAN 2 WEEKS TILL HALLOWEEN! So everyone spread the word and send in your addresses if you would like to join in - in any capacity you can! β€οΈ ππ»
