A recent review said "We absolutely loved our stay at Janice's home. The room was bigger than expected, the bed was super comfy and having your own ensuite bathroom was fabulous. The breakfast provided was extensive and probably the best we have had from an airbnb. Yummy homemade jam! Janice was very knowledgeable and the perfect host. Her home is well situated and definitely the place to stay in Bairnsdale.'

As the Host of Tara House Bed and Breakfast located at 37 Day Street, Bairnsdale I am today very pleased to announce that as Regional Victoria is now at Step 3 Coronavirus restrictions we are now OPEN for bookings for guests from Regional Victoria locations.

During September, October and November 2020 I will be offering special ‘Recovery’ rates.

Tara House, built in 1890 is a gracious Victorian Country residence, with three themed rooms – The Master Suite with Queen bed, clawfoot bath and separate shower, The Ballerina Room with Queen bed, Shower room and TV, and the Lighthouse Room with Queen Bed and Shower Room. All rooms are decorated to their style, have heating ceiling fans, and share the Dining Room (continental style breakfast) and guest Lounge which also has costume exhibitions on display. Kitchen and laundry facilities available. The large garden has many special trees and there is off-street parking.

We're very excited to be presenting the 2019 Tara House Open Day featuring the Rose Ball Gown Exhibition and a Biggest Morning Tea as a part of the National Trust Australian Heritage Festival on Saturday 4 May 10.30am - 3pm, at Tara House, 37 Day Street, Bairnsdale.

And we are delighted to welcome harpist LINDA HINE who has kindly given of her time and skill to entertain us.
