The AFKC is the cheapest Go Kart Racing in Victoria, where fun meets friendly competition. GO KARTS:
Frame:
Any professionally manufactured Go Kart frame (Members currently have Arrow, CRG, Wright, and Haase Karts amongst others). Most members purchase engines from EBay with or without an electric start (both legal). We simply remove the governors and fit a pulse fuel pump. Cut Price Racing also
make an AFKC full engine and kit ready to bolt on. Tyres:
Any slick tyre that is used in tarmac karting (MG Yellow/ Red, Dunlop DFMs, Mojos etc)
MEMBERSHIP:
Annual membership is $150 for a Single and $200 for a Family. (No memberships required in 2022)
RACE/ FUN DAY:
$35 entry fee per race/ fun day which covers insurance and membership. Gates open at 9am and practice commences at 10am, racing starts at 11am. Race days include five, 10 lap races with points awarded from first until last, which go towards the overall championship. Fun days run on a similar schedule but with no points awarded. TRACK:
Our home track is at the Geelong Motor Sports Complex, 50 Beach Rd, Avalon (Avalon Airport exit). It’s a dirt track with multiple layouts including a speedway in clockwise and anticlockwise directions, the speedway also has two kidneys in the centre section resulting in 8 possible track layouts. Spectators welcome (free entry) on any of our Fun/ Race Days with canteen food available from 12pm. We’d love to see you whether it be for entertainment or information regarding our club/ karts.
