See you bright and early for parkrun tomorrow! We may need to switch to our alternate course, if thatโ€™s the case, weโ€™ll let you know first thing in the morning. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

๐Ÿ“ฃAs itโ€™s National Volunteer Week, itโ€™s the perfect time to give a big shoutout to the legends in high-vis who make parkrun happen each week. Our volunteers make our community what it is so if you see one, throw them a high five, a thanks, or even your best post-run smile (no matter how puffed you are ๐Ÿ˜„).

Weโ€™ve still got a couple of roles up for grabs tomorrow, photographer and parkwalker, so if youโ€™ve ever wanted to be famous behind the lens or enjoy a stroll with great company, jump in and grab a spot! ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

And finally, a huge thank you to the millions of Australians who volunteer their time and energy to make communities like ours tick. Youโ€™re absolute champions.

Hi, Ashgrove parkrun community. ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿพ

Just a friendly reminder about parkrunโ€™s policy for our furry friends and the parkrunners who bring dogs along.

As an official policy, we kindly ask parkrunners with dogs to abide by the following rules:

One dog per runner at our 5k events.
Most of our events do allow runners with dogs but there are some events which do not.
Dogs should be kept under firm control, on a short lead or a harness with a short lead, and extreme care taken to avoid tripping other runners.
It is not permitted to run with a pushchair (pram) and a dog at the same time.
Dogs should not be registered. Any registration allocated to a dog, or any other animal, will be deleted and any associated results will be removed.
parkrunners are responsible for the welfare of their own dog.

๐Ÿ™ Thank you for helping keep everyone safe and happy ๐Ÿ™

Dogs have been welcome at parkrun since we started, but we do recognise that they pose a potential risk to other runners, to volunteers and to other park users. ย  This Dogs Policy explains parkrunโ€™s rules for runners with dogs, and additional steps that the volunteer event teams may need to take ...
