We raised $2008 in one small house concert last weekend!!! Massive thanks to all who attended and donated to our concert with live music by Liz Cheung Saoirse Prince, Honora Ryan and Keyna Wilkins for The Emerald Archipelago Documentary: Sydney Fundraiser Concert - fundraising for an idependent documentary into undergound q***r culture of Indonesia, made by Alfred Pek with incredible dessert by "Just Ellen" cakes. I met Alfred when he was making his incredible first documentary about refugees from Iran, Afganistan and Pakistan stuck in Indonesia for 7,8,9, years in an open prison with no work or study rights, while they wait for UNHCR resettlement which can take 30+ years (paid for by the Australian govt to stop them getting on the boats to Australia).

This Saturday 6-9pm at Woodlands Studio folks The Emerald Archipelago Documentary: Sydney Fundraiser Concert for an independent film about underground q***r culture of Indonesia by Alfred Pek. And it will feature the brilliant Saoirse Prince who is featured on ABC TV's The Piano, as well as solo sets of original compositions and improvisations from Liz Cheung Honora Ryan and Keyna Wilkins! There will be a talk about the film and short talk by those featured in the film from Indonesia, a vegan nut-free and gluten free Indonesian fine cuisine meal and desert by "Just Ellen" cakes, a glass of beverage! Hello folks! Next Saturday 11th April 6-9pm we have a unique event at Woodlands Studio - a fundraiser event for the The Emerald Archipelago new documentary film by Alfred Pek about the underground q***r culture of Indonesia. Wonderful concert last weekend at Woodlands Studio! Thanks all who came! Ephemera played some of my new compositions - see here for clips. Ephemera have launch of thier 3rd album "STAR OPUS" coming up Saturday May 9th at The Living Room Theatre Marrickville with opening set by Bernice Tesara's Weatherbirds project! Thanks also the fantastic performance by DR J Trio Diego Idárraga Duarte's trio with Roger Ellis and James Wright of his jazz compositions! We all enjoyed it as you can see!

The next Woodlands Studio event will be Saturday 11th April 6-9pm - The Emerald Archipelago Documentary: Sydney Fundraiser Concert. The evening will be a talk by the film director/producer Alfred Pek as well as short solo improvisations by Sydney q***r and q***r allie musicians Saoirse Prince, Liz Cheung, Honora Ryan and myself. We raised a mighty $1990 at our Woodlands Studio fundraiser concert for Al Nuseirat Camp Kitchen, which is in the heart of Gaza city. Every family in Gaza has lost their livelihoods, are living in tents, have very little food and are still being bombed (even though it's the "ceasefire") so this money means 100's more meals and tents for them.
