The Australian Institute for Performing Arts (AIPA) is a full service performing arts company based in Sydney, Australia with a very active second office in Los Angeles, California USA
Although our success rate of performers working and gaining representation and management in Australia, Canada, the UK and the United States is very high, our grass roots aim is to foster a love of performing arts,

in its many disciplines, in every artist who we meet and work with. From the three year old ‘fairies’ who take one ballet class a week, to the seven year old boys who find that dance is cool, to the teenagers who take on the US market for advanced intensive training in their school holiday breaks, to the adults who study career changing courses with us in Australia and the US. Our work is rewarding to all involved and we love what we do. We instill self-discipline, technique and a good work ethic in those we work with. We encourage self-esteem, discourage the self-deprecating artists and teach pride in your work. It is okay to recognize that you are good at something as long as you can also see what you need to work on. Do what you love and love what you do. Okay… it is a clique, but in the creative world, truer words couldn’t be spoken

Performing Arts is creative and inspiring and through training, performances, productions, talent development , intensives and working with a team of people who genuinely care about each individual who walks through our doors and their development, you will soon see what makes AIPA so different to the other schools and companies in this field. If you are ready to work, ready to have fun, ready to create great pieces, ready to enjoy your craft and ready to be inspired and inspire others through your achievements then the Australian Institute for Performing Arts is ready for you.

Best Camp Ever! Is a six-day, five-night residential programme offering three awesome electives to high school students who want to finish 2020 with performance and training opportunities. Students can choose from Screen Actors Masterclass, Improvcamp! or Musical Theatre for Screen. AIPA has assembled a great faculty of tutors and facilitators from Sydney who will be in the classroom and industry professionals from across the world who will teach on Zoom.

Students have the option of being day students (dropped off after breakfast and picked up after the evening session) or residents to get the full camp experience. Students can choose to come by themselves or come with friends and share a cabin. You don’t have to be doing the same programme to share a room, you just need to be the same gender.

For residential students, all meals and accommodation are included. For day students morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are included in your package.

Dates: Sunday 13th December – 2.00pm Check-in Friday 18th December – 3pm Check out

Venue: The TOPS Conference Centre. 51 Bendena Gardens, Stanwell Tops NSW 2508

One of our talented teachers is taking her show to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and there is a chance to see a preview showing in Sydney tomorrow night!!

Kaleigh Wilkie-Smith has been working hard with Alex Giles to create something amazing and they want to share it with Sydneysiders before taking it overseas.

You can grab tickets online and choose to see it at 5pm or 7pm or why not really treat yourself and see it twice :)

We are very proud to share the work that our teachers and students do both in and outside of AIPA and we wish Kaleigh and Alex the best of luck in their adventure.

The time has come for the premier of our TSAA Music Video!!

Productions keep getting bigger and better at AIPA, and at the end of Term One the Saturday students were part of shooting a music video!

They all worked extremely hard in their classes to learn all the vocal, dance and drama parts that made up the video, and we are so proud of them!

We hope you enjoy the finished product and please like and share this video around!

Love the AIPA Team :)

Judy Garland once said, “Always be a first rate version of yourself instead of a second rate version of somebody else.” Live by this statement. There is no such thing as living in someone else’s shoes. The only shoes you can occupy are your own. If you aren’t being yourself, you aren’t truly living – you’re merely existing.

Remember, trying to be anyone else is a waste of the person you are. Embrace that individual inside you that has ideas, strengths and beauty like no one else. Be the person you know yourself to be – the best version of you – on your terms. Improve continuously, take care of your body and health, and surround yourself with positivity. Become the best version of you.
